Country Boys Outdoors is two long time friends, professional outdoors man Jon Brunson and NBA player/outdoors enthusist Brad Miller traveling the world doing what they love, wack'n N stack'n some of the most sporting big game animals out there. Join them on there adventurs and share in the hunts and good times, only on the Sportmans Channel.

Brad Miller was born on April 12, 1976 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He rose to basketball stardom playing for Purdue. Towering over his fans at seven feet tall, and weighing just over 250 pounds, he started his NBA career as a free agent. In 1998, he played on the Bronze medal winning USA Men’s World Basketball Championship team. Brad played for the Charlotte Hornet’s from 1998 to 2000, followed by two years with the Chicago Bulls, and then home to Indiana for a season with the Pacers. With only five years in the league, he was ready to stay in Indiana, but the Sacramento Kings offered him a deal he simply could not pass up. After a nice run with the Kings Brad was traded to the Chicago Bulls and is loving it. With nine years in the league, Brad has called Sacramento home since 2003 and most recently back to Chicago. Sporting size 16 Nike’s and a number 52 jersey, the player is ranked first in the NBA among centers in assists. He is one of only five undrafted NBA players to make an All-Star team; in fact, he’s played on two All-Star teams. In his spare time, Brad focuses on underprivileged children. Every Christmas, he host’s a Toy Shopping Spree for kids from Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Sacramento. When he goes home to Kendallville, Indiana, in the summer, he host’s a golf tournament benefiting Big Brother and Big Sister of Northeast Indiana. He helped re-establish the Kings Reading and Learning Center in Sacramento. He was also the King’s representative for the Reading Team Challenge during the 2003-04 season. After Hurricane Katrina, he participated in an event to helped displaced families in the Sacramento area. He’s been on Wheel of Fortune, for NBA Week in 2003. And saluted his favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs, by singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch at a Cubs-Astros game. He loves NASCAR, which goes hand in hand with his love of country music. Not only that, he loves to play golf as well. When he’s not playing ball, or helping kids, he goes home to his 900 acres in Indiana to hunt, fish, and ride four wheelers. 2009 is an exciting year for Brad. His new outdoor show, Country Boys Outdoors, will debut, with co-host, Jon Brunson. There are some exciting hunts from around the nation, including a trip to Alaska, and a bear hunt in Canada.

 

Jon Brunson has always loved the outdoors. Since he was a small child, he camped, hunted, and fished with his family. He shot his first gun at seven, and a bow at eight. And at a young age, he began telling his parents that one day, he would work solely in the outdoors. After high school, Jon realized his passions for marketing, and eventually, opened his own marketing firm. Through the development of his firm, he remained an avid hunter and fisher, going out in his spare time, and bringing his family along with him. Jon noticed a need for a place to store hunting and fishing log notes. He developed a thinking software program for sportsmen called Sportsmanlog.com, the parent site to Huntinglog.com and Fishinglog.com, To this day, the site boast’s a strong 40,000 members, and is still growing. In 2004, Jon decided it was time to pursue his childhood dream, thus JBO Production, Incorporated was born. His first production was Jon Brunson Outdoors, a national TV show, he hosts with his wife Regina. Jon Brunson Outdoors was an instant success. Jon Brunson Outdoors logged several awards, including best website in the television industry by the Web Marketing Awards. An Addy Award which recognizes the “Best of the Best” in Advertising, also a Silver Addy for Excellence in Interactive Media. Jon Brunson Outdoors has won several network awards, three awards for the 2005 season, for “Best Show Opening,” “Best Original Music,” and “Best Saltwater Footage.” And in 2006, Jon Brunson Outdoors won an award for “Best Graphics and Visual Effects.” Because of the success of Jon Brunson Outdoors, other outdoor enthusiasts approached Jon about production work. JBO Production, Inc produces, and does production work for 20 national shows, including full production of Hunter Safety System’s Stayin’ Safe with Jesse and Ginger Morehead, and Southern Backwoods Adventures. 2008 is going to be a big year for Jon Brunson, he is debuting his newest production project, The American Huntress. He and Regina also have a new show debuting exclusively on the Outdoor Channel, called Addicted to the Outdoors. The show has a new concept not seen in the outdoor industry. He will also be producing, and co-hosting Country Boys Outdoors, with Chicago Bulls Center Brad Miller. In his spare time, he hangs out with his six children. Jon and Regina take them on family camping trips, and to the local archery shop. Jon’s children love the outdoors, and he is glad to share his passion with them. All of his kids shoot bows, including his five-year-old, Gunner.
